"I have had the pleasure of learning from Elizabeth Welch and her artistic methods for several years.  She has helped me to become more confident as an artist and broaden my skills when it comes to mastering different medias, or even mixing them.  Her bright smile and encouragment brings joy to everyone and makes her classroom a welcoming place to explore the world of art.  If I had the chance, I would take those art classes a thousand times over!"

“Mrs. Welch was my art teacher for six years. She taught me in studio art, mixed media, and advanced art classes. She instilled in me the confidence and technical skills to be successful in my endeavors, which ranged from competitions to commissions. Not only did she help me hone my artistic abilities, but she helped me find joy in creating.
Thank you, Mrs. Welch!”

"It’s been said behind every child who believes in themselves, there’s a teacher who believed in them first."

"A teacher can inspire hope and ignite the imagination. In my high school art class, Mrs. Welch planted that seed in me over ten years ago. As a student of hers, I had the creative freedom to explore any medium I wanted to in her classroom.

Her dedication to teaching was inspiring. She was the one who introduced me to making graphic art on a computer, which is what I do every day now for a living! It’s been said behind every child who believes in themselves, there’s a teacher who believed in them first. I will never forget how comfortable I felt sitting in a chair, in the environment she created, from a passion for teaching art. She must have done something right, considering she is one of the reasons I am where I am today. She was the beginning of why I can wake up every morning and go to a job I genuinely love to do. Not everyone can say that they love what they do, and I have no doubt that was because of the space she created and how she helped mold every one of her students in and out of the classroom."

"Elizabeth brings out the best in young artists by meeting them where they are and showing them a pathway to growth."

"Elizabeth brings out the best in young artists by meeting them where they are and showing them a pathway to growth. She is a great teacher, often introducing new and creative mediums and projects. She sparks an interest in her students by letting them create art inspired by their own personal experiences. She has a calm approach, breaking down the final product into small blocks that are easy to take on."

"I wouldn’t be where I am today without the instruction and support of Mrs. Welch!"

"I came into Mrs. Welch’s art class my senior year of high school as a transfer student. I thought I might want to study art in college, but I wasn’t confident of that decision. Throughout the year, Mrs. Welch encouraged me and gave me all the tools I needed to explore a variety of mediums. I am currently an artist and art teacher. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the instruction and support of Mrs. Welch!"

"Mrs. Welch gave me the tools to discover my own artistic style that I still practice as a college graduate."

"Elizabeth (Mrs. Welch as I have known her) was my art teacher for all of middle and high school. I spent more time in her classroom than any other. She helped me discover my love for art and my passion for painting. She taught me a wide variety of art techniques and pushed me to experiment with many different mediums. Mrs. Welch gave me the tools to discover my own artistic style that I still practice as a college graduate. The most memorable moments of my teenage yeas were spent in her classroom under her guidance. Her joy, generosity, and creativity shine as she teaches both amateur and experienced artists."
